Whole milk
Did/is everyone giving up lowfat milk during TTC? I dont know if I can bring myself to drink whole milk after drinking lowfat and skim milk for so long
Also, ive altered my diet and cut out fake sugars and diet stuff so now I am already gaining weight. If I switch to whole milk, I will gain more
Ugggh! the things we do to make a baby!

Re: Whole milk
Why would you have to give up skim/lowfat milk??? There is NO reason you need to do that. I drank skim milk the whole time we were TTC and throughout my entire pregnancy.

Re: Whole milk
I still drink skim milk, because I really dislike whole milk but I have been trying to have one serving of whole milk cheese a day.

Re: Whole milk
I have read that low-fat diary can interfere with fertility, but I haven't switched either. I can stomach full fat diary. My dr. didn't seem the least bit concerned about it.

Re: Whole milk
Maybe I am just doing too much reading on the internet, but iv read a few articles that say you should switch to whole milk for fertility and when you are pregnant. Maybe I am confused. I am new to this TTC stuff lol
I guess I just gotta do whats best for me, which is stick with my skim milk.

Re: Whole milk
LF dairy is harder for the body to digest, and ingesting too much *may* affect hormone levels. I have skim milk in my cereal, but have "real" everything else.
There are a few studies like this: Dairy

Re: Whole milk
I usually drink whole milk regardless of TTC - im a big fan of eating/drinking things that are in thier natural state
Im the type of person that would rather have a "full fat" meal in a smaller portion than a bigger meal that is "low fat"
But as far as infertility goes - i think it could cause a problem if someone wasnt getting enough fats in general - so maybe milk fat is related

ITA! I am the exact same way....I would rather eat a little less but have the better taste. I eat almost nothing that is labeled "diet" because I hate the taste...especially diet drinks.

Re: Whole milk
I don't drink much milk at all, when I do it's usually 2% or whole. Is 2% considered low fat?
