Ectopic Pregnancy
After being so elated after my 4th try with IVF, I had an ectopic pregancy. It doesn't seem fair after going through so much physically and mentally that it wold end like this. If the eggs were transfered into my uterus, how did the preganancy wind up in my tube? I have 7 frozen eggs left. Not sure what I'm going to do yet, but it is hard. One of my friends had her transfer two weeks after me. She is pregnant with twins. I am so happy for her, but devastated for me. Any advise?

I had an ectopic and I got pregnant the next month. It really sucks but I look at my son and thank god I have him. As far as getting to the uterus, I wonder if you released an egg on your own and it got fertilized? Is that possible?

The way it was explained to me was that occassionally if your uterus contracts it can "kick" it into the tube. I am so sorry you're going through this. I know how painful it is

I'm so sorry! I am glad they caught the ectopic early on.
It def is not fair! Sometimes I just really want to scream at the world!
Take it one day at a time! It's amazing how us ladies get through this and we always find the strength to get back up again for the next cycle! I promise you will get through.
I'm sorry about your friend. That always makes it more difficult to have someone so close to you getting pregnant. Just dont lose hope and realize that will be you one day!!

A year ago I had an ectopic through an IUI. I am currently on my second FET and my Dr's prepared me for the possibility of another ectopic even through IVF - I couldn't understand 'how'! But, yes, the embryo can make it back to the tube.
I'm so sorry - ectopics are not easy to deal with. Like a PP said - thankfully they caught it early and your health is not in danger. On the bright side, you have 7 frozen so that is great news. Take your time to deal with the ectopic and you'll soon find the strength to move onto your FET.

So many amazing people are on this forum. Those who have never been through this really do not understand the compounded heartache we experience. It is with the help of you wonderful women that I will eventually come out the other side and stop crying and yelling. I will go back to the RE at the end of April to figure out the next step. I know nothing will happen until the end of May, so I didn't rush the appointment. Thank you for all of the support.

im so sorry sweetie! sometimes things seem unfair but hang in there... it just wasn't the right time (thats what i kept telling myself after my mc)... take the time you need and start an FET cycle. youll be surprised how fast you bounce back because of the strong will you have to have a baby...
