Cream Cheese and Pretzels...?
DH and I were arguing the other day about this...
He eats pretzels (regular pretzels from a bag) dipped in CREAM CHEESE.
Does anyone else do this? I think it is  ...
He was saying it's a Nassau-Suffolk thing (he's from Suffolk).
I have NEVER heard of anyone doing this and he was insisting it is popular. Thanks for settling this debate!!!

Never did that with regular cream cheese but it doesn't sound bad. I do use the onion flavored cc with pretzels and crackers though.

I actually eat a version of this...I take a pretzel stick and smear cream cheese on it and then wrap a piece of salami around the cream cheese. Its delicious!! But I have never heard of it being a Nassau-Suffolk thing.

I actually do a version of THIS.. I smear cream cheese on a slice of salami and wrap it around a slice of pickle. It's fantastic.
As to pretzels.. I've dipped it in flavored cream cheese but haven't thought to try it plain. It doesn't sound gross... but then again I eat pickles, salami can cc!

I never heard of it and I was born and rasied in Suffolk. It doesn't sound totally disgusting, my friends and I used to put doritos on a cream cheese bagel. A hot pretzel with melty cream cheese actually sounds good!
ETA: I was dipping pretzel sticks in french onion dip this weekend...soo good!

I have never considered that. But I do smear cream cheese on corned beef and roll it up and eat that. I have no idea where I learned to do that, but my sister and I used to eat it all the time.
