Re: Painting the Master Bedroom
Is this the bedding? If so I think a nice neutral tan would be nice. I think I have Behr sandstone in my bedroom it would look nice with this bedding. I have fallen inlove with benjamin moore paints though, I think I will be repainting my bedroom soon Image Attachment(s):

Re: Painting the Master Bedroom
Is your bedroom furniture a dark or light wood? If it's dark I would go with a lighter brown, its its light I would go with a darker brown.

Re: Painting the Master Bedroom
I like the green idea. I would go with something dark. BM Vintage Vogue, Backwoods, Rosepine. I'm just pulling these from the website. You'd have to look at paint chips with the comforter in the actual room.
Or an ivory with a gray tint maybe? We used BM Woodmont Creme and it definitely has a gray tint to it.

Re: Painting the Master Bedroom
what color blue do you have in your room now?
I think a beautiful slate blue would look really nice with this bedding. You might just have the wrong blue in your room. Just a thought. BM & Valspar have some great slate blues. of course getting some paint chips to look at with the bedding would be the best idea.
And nice you have dark furniture, you might want to stay on the light to medium colors.
What kind of feel do you want for the room? Light and airy or warm and cozy?

Re: Painting the Master Bedroom
Our master bedroom is kind of small, and I wanted a wall color similar to the bedding, to make it feel bigger. I think my bedding is pretty similar to yours. We used BM Manchester Tan:
(Not the best picture quality but you can see how the bedding looks with tan/beige behind it)

Thaks, JldDolphin !!!
I prefer a toned-down contemporary scheme and I'd like to get the room more stylish, warm and cozy.
Also, JldDolphin ,what slate blues color are you talking about ?

Re: Painting the Master Bedroom
I went to the JCP site and the damask pattern seems to be in a light olive green, so I would order the bedding and then take a sham to a paint store and try to match that or maybe a shade darker.
IMO, if you did tan, it would just be way to much neutral. But then again, I think Im allergic to beige, so Im biased.
If the green in the bedding is accurate on my monitor, benjamin moores "cushing green" would go perfectly.

Re: Painting the Master Bedroom
or if cushing green is too dark for you, I think BM Kennebunkport Green would be really nice also.

Melissa thanks a lot !!!!!!
I ordered the bedding on last Saturday .
JC Penny had good promotion last week - spend $100 and get $20 off , I had coupon $10 off and 15% off and it was free shipping to store - so it was really good deal .
and I have to get it on Wednesday .
Thanks for idea to go to a paint store with a sham !!!!! I love it !!!!

I have a light slate blue in my bedroom, BM Brittany blue, but I don't think that is what you are looking for. Maybe BM Nantucket Fog
Check out my Master Bedroom here
Let me see if I can find a couple of more that I like. It's really hard to tell online if the colors are good, but maybe check out BM Hemlock, BM Santorini Blue, BM James River Gray. And Valspar: Lucy Blue, Flood Tide. Valspar Seaside Retreat Signature Colors: Seaside Villa. WaverlyHome Classic Signature Colors: Beach House (it's like a seaglass blue, I have it in my Family Room )
I hope this helps.
But I did read eddiesmommy's response about it looking like the bedding is more of a green color. I guess you really need to wait until you receive the comforter and see what color it really is. The greens she picked out our gorgeous. GL and let us know what you pick.

Your welcome. Thank you for the compliment.
I'm glad you love your comforter set.
I would go out and get paint chips and see what looks pleasing to your eye against the bedding. It will all come together for you.
I would start with JCPenny.com. They always have a great selection of styles & colors. As for style, I think that is per person's taste. I would take a look at the different styles JCPenny's has and see what looks good to you. GL!
