What the hell is wrong with Gov Christi?
Teachers are like drug dealers of information? Come on....

OMG Christie is an idiot. I just emailed friends I had in NJ. I saw he said teachers were treating students like drug mules.

What in the world was he referring to when he said that??? I was so confused when he likened teachers to drug dealers of information.

He's such a douche. He has such an agenda against teachers and the NJEA - especially the NJEA. He wants to crumble the union so badly. His agenda is obviously to make all education private in this state. He actually encouraged communities to vote no on school budgets if the teachers hadn't agreed to a pay freeze.
Needless to say, my district's budget was defeated. Granted, I voted to give back, but the no vote won out.
So how is this gonna help the debt the state is in? When budgets are cut, more teachers lose jobs, and more people end up on the unemployment line....and then imagine all the college graduates looking for jobs. I hate. this. man.

He's reacting to the fact that many high schoolers are going to board of Ed meetings and the like and speaking up for the teachers...so he believes the teachers are basically brainwashing them to do it.

Seriously - what a great assignment. Having the students interview their parents about whether they are going to vote and why. Not HOW are they going to vote or how they SHOULD vote. GEEZ...talk about a great lesson in civics.
I think that he was also talking about the fliers that were going home with students to their parents.
I'm not sure what they said. In NY you can only encourage the community to go out to vote, you can't ask them to vote one way or another. Not sure if NJ is this was or not.
