So I know nothing about unemployment

And I couldn't find my answer on the site. Google's not helping me either (probably not phrasing my search well).

Anyway - if my office shuts down, I'm eligible for unemployment, right? Please tell me yes. Thanks!

yes, if your company closes, you can collect.

from nys website:

You may be eligible for benefits if:

You lost your job due to lack of work: the temporary or seasonal employment ended; your job was eliminated; there was an involuntary reduction in force; the company downsized or shutdown; the company restructured or reorganized, there was a lack of company operating funds/orders; or for any other business operating reason which resulted in your involuntary unemployment.

I have a similar question . . .
My office is closing June 30th. The partners are splitting up and continuing on their own. We have the option of going with wither partner or leaving.

Would we be eligible for unemployment since the Company will no linger exist as of June 30th???
