Feeling sad (Vent)
I was just diagnosed with a thyroid problem. The doctors seem to think this caused my mc (Sept) and the reason why I haven't gotten pg since. It's weird b/c *I* asked for the blood test.
Anyway, today I got treated for my thyroid and now have to wait at least 6 months before ttc. The doctors said that if I didn't get treated I could mc again.
I went to the OB/GYN today to get bc pills. I cannot believe I have to start them again. I got there first in the morning and as I waited, the room filled with pg women. I started to get sad. Dr. took me the minute he got in, gave me a scripts and was supportive/encouraging. I started to cry. I feel like I've wasted an entire year! We ended up talking about how this is so hard and how ppl who shouldn't have kids have an easy time, etc etc. He gave me a hug and I walked out crying.
Today I went to the hospital for my treatment. As I walked in the door, they were wheeling out a new mother with her newborn child. The tears started again. Then before I met with the doctor, the nurse pulls out my labs and says, "It's official you are not pg." Ugggh, can you stab me another time in the chest? (I couldn't have the treatment if I was pg)
It was such an emotional day. I'm so sad. I know it's good that we know what's wrong and we are going to fix it. I know in the grand scheme of things this period of time is not that long. I know once I hold a baby in arms, none of this will matter. It's just hard. I know the destination will be sweet but the journey is so hard.

Re: Feeling sad (Vent)
I am sorry you are feeling sad today but you are ALLOWED! You said it yourself it's a journey and with a goal in mind the next few months will pass quickly. Take this time to enjoy all the things you will be missing as soon as you are pregnant!

Oh no!!! I am so sorry. What type of thyroid issues do you have if you dont mind me asking? I have thyroid problems and am on synthroid. I know how much it sucks to wait 6 months. I too, am on the 6 month waiting train. I went back on Birth Control it really sucks. I hate it but I know its for the best. Just think, in 6 months you and I will try agian and everything will work out. October/November will be our months!!!! I just know it.

I am so sorry you are feeling down. It is completely normal and will come and go. It will get easier, I promise. Hang in there, enjoy the summer and before you know it, we will all be holding babies in our arms!

I'm sorry!!
I know having to wait another 6 months is not what you wanted to hear.
The good thing is they figured out something was wrong and now your can treat it and not have to worry about it causing another m/c.
I am sorry. I hate that TTC has to be so difficult and emotional.

I'm sorry you are so sad. On a more positive note at least you have a plan..and that is very helpful. I know you probably feel even farther away from you goal than before, but plans are good. Hang in there. Lots of coming from me! I hope these 6 months go by fast!

Re: Feeling sad (Vent)
One of my friends had the same thing, for a whole year of trying and she didn't understand why. She started her treatment and then got preggo.
I am so sorry you have to go through this.
