How many ounces per day does your 3-4 month old eat?

I EBF but need to be away from DD for an entire day. She is just about 4 months. I'm wondering how much BM I need to have for her.

How many ounces per feeding and how many feedings per day does your DC average at 3 or 4 months?

I too EBF I have been leaving her a smidge over 4 oz in her bottles. hth

DS was having about 24-30oz of formula a day, about 4 6oz bottles at that time.

My DS takes about 5.5oz at a feeding.. about 32oz or so a day.

Somewhere between 30-36 ounces

I find that it's kind of trial and error. I am EBF as well, but my son has been having 1-3 bottles of BM a week since he was about 3 weeks old. We've been increasing his bottles by a half oz. whenever it seemed like he was starting to not be satisfied with the amount we were giving him. He just turned 4 months and we just upped it to 5 oz. One way you could try to figure out is to pump during a feeding time (have someone give him a bottle), and see how much you get out. Since it's a supply-and-demand operation, that should tell you about how much she's been demanding per feeding, though you should probably a half oz. since babies are much more efficient at emptying the breast than pumps are. And the day that you spend away from her, make sure you pump at feeding times or your boobies will not be happy!! GL and HTH!

ETA: He usually has 5 feedings a day.

ehh it really depends. During the day she'll barely drink her 4oz she would normally eat and at night she'll drink like 6-7oz before going to bed.

but then there are some days lately where i find she's drinking around 5oz at a feeding.she's not very consistant

DD drinks 4 bottles a day - between 6-7 ounces each. She drinks about 26-28 ounces a day. She's just 3 months.

5 oz every 3 hours during the day so all together around 25 ounces
