For those who were + for beta strep in a previous pregnancy but are negative with this pregnancy....
Is your dr still giving you antibiotics? Or did/will you request them anyway?
I am negative this time around but I asked my dr for the antibiotics anyway and she said she would probably do the same thing (even though studies don't show an increased risk of passing it along to the baby if you had it with a previous pregnancy but test negative with a subsequent pregnancy). 2 of the drs in my practice that I've spoken to lean towards getting the antibiotics anyway, but the dr I saw yesterday said there's no need for it and she wouldn't get the antibiotics. So now I'm curious what everyone else thinks.

I did not get antibiotics the 2nd time but I had a scheduled c-section
