Nook without 3G Service question

I just saw that Nook is now available without 3G network for $150 or with for $200, my question is for those that for those of you that have it, is the 3G service necessary or useful or if I bought the $150 one with only WiFi am I still good?

If you are going to download your books when you're connected to wifi, you should be fine.

If you want to do it somewhere remote where there is no wifi you would need the 3G. (If 3G is even available where ever you are)

I'm returning mine and getting a wifi only one. I'm always close to a wifi spot so 3G is not necessary.
