Update from RE
I have my follow-up yesterday with my re. I am no longer a candidate for IVF for a child. Even if i lost the weight, i was told that my pelvis is narrow and my ovaries would still be out of reach. He does want me to try medicated iui's. I am taking a 2 month break to get myself together and lose some weight before trying. Iui's are covered by my insurance but the meds wont be. Anyone who had offered meds, i would be really really appreciative. Thanks so much.

Re: Update from RE
So sorry you didn't get better news. BUTTTTT IUI's being covered by your insurance is still good news ! I will hopefully have gotten my BFP by then and like i said the meds are yours. I'm sure others here will donate too. Hang in there, its far from over.
Try to enjoy your time off, you will be back in the game before you know it

Re: Update from RE
Thank you.. Actually i am fine with the news. Ivf took much more of a toll on me than the iui's did. At least with a medicated iui cycle, i know i produce eggs and now all will get the best chance possible.

Re: Update from RE
Just a suggestion and I may be wrong but have you gone to another RE for an opinion? I just feel like a good RE would be able to do an IVF even with these challenges, but I am not a doctor. Wishing you much success !

Re: Update from RE
I don't have any meds to offer but I want to make sure you know about the following two things that will save you some $$$$
If you are going to be taking Femara at all you can go to THE WEBSITE and print out the coupon for 30 free pills. I saw Dr. B for my IUI's and all he had to do was fill out that form & give me a script for 30 pills. I brought it to CVS and they were 100% FREE !!
If you trigger with Ovidrel - getting it shipped from FREEDOM is cheaper then Kraupners.
Good Luck !!!

his hours arent the greatest - they start at 8:30, not earlier like some RE's. and you generally do wait a bit. but he does everything himself, like all of the sonos and monitoring are done by him. and with the exception of bloodwork, you always see him specifically. in my opinion its worth the hassle of not the best hours and a wait, cause i really do feel like im getting the best care possible.
good luck!!
