Did Your DC Need a Backpack for PreSchool?
Especially for a 2 year old program? Not sure if I should pick one up just in case. I hate to wait too long and nothing good is left.

Re: Did Your DC Need a Backpack for PreSchool?
DS just started going he is almost 3. I do send him with a backpack - I put a change of clothes in it (just in case), a towel (for the summer program), hand wipes and his water cup. He LOVES IT!

DS will be 3 and going to a FT program. He will need a backpack and lunch box. We will have a couple of composition books for communication between teacher/parents.

DD doesn't need one, but she loves to carry it so she has a small bag.

yes, Dd has one.
before she was potty trained we would use it for diapers/wipes.
now it has a few changes of clothes. and her juice cup.
and all her art projects go in in too.

Re: Did Your DC Need a Backpack for PreSchool?
My DDs went to a 2 year program that was only two hours and they did need a small backpack. Each day they had to bring a change of clothes, diaper and a small towel (I don't know why the towel...). I'm sure the school will let you know...

Re: Did Your DC Need a Backpack for PreSchool?
IMO yes. The school told us it wasn't necessary but I kept a change of clothes in there just in case.

Re: Did Your DC Need a Backpack for PreSchool?
Not at our school. At the teacher's request we sent in a change of clothes that she kept in the closet, and they only brought work home on their last day of the week (usually Thurs or Fri) Most kids in the 2 & 3 year old program didn't have backpacks big enough for the projects so the teachers put everything in paper grocery bags.
When DD got to pre-k we were asked to send in a backpack on Fridays for her work.

Yes, it's a requirement for any of the kids in my DS's daycare/preschool that they have a backpack. At our school, it needs to be large enough to fit their jackets into during the winter.
