Those familiar with Yankee Stadium...
I want to take DD to a game in August but I'm not sure where to sit - I don't want to break the bank but I want to be comfy. I'd like to bring her stroller (she's only 9 months) and be able to walk her around when she gets antsy.
TIA

Re: Those familiar with Yankee Stadium...
Hey there, we have a Saturday season ticket plan and we're in the bleachers. We take Riley every time! We leave her in her stroller and stand behind the bleachers so we're in the shade. There's an overhang right above us. You can walk around and still see the game, and you can take the elevator down to the field level if you like to take in the rest of the place.
If you think you're gonna be walking around a lot, don't spend the money on $$$ seats. Just get bleacher seats and stay some place in the shade. That's if you don't mind standing a lot. You can take her down to the bleachers with you and fold up the stroller...for some reason we still haven't tried that!
Have fun!

Re: Those familiar with Yankee Stadium...
Thank you thank you thank you! And sorry for my ignorance. I've been to about 50 Yankee games at the old stadium and never at the new. Is there a specific bleacher section I should stay in? Also, can you please advise about parking? We'll be driving.
:O) and thank you again!

Re: Those familiar with Yankee Stadium...
i definitely agree with tara about the bleachers....though we didn't hang out behind them...we went to our seats & the umbrella stroller folded nicely and fit RIGHT under the bleachers.
for parking - we always take the FIRST exit for Yankee Stadium (i can ask dave for the name of the exit, if he even knows)....but there is a sign that lists 2 exits and you take the first one. go down the ramp and park at one of the areas... you will have to walk up the stairs and over the new subway - but that's always the easiest place to park for us...

Re: Those familiar with Yankee Stadium...
Wow, I'm sorry I haven't been on this board in a while!
As far as bleacher sections, my favorite is right field, but it really doesn't matter much these days, especially if you think you'll be walking around a lot. Just make sure you're not in the obstructed view section...the Mohegan Sun sports bar gets in the way, but I think those are like $5 seats anyway.
As far as parking, you're coming from LI right? We park pretty far away because we come from NJ and it makes it easier for us to get out at the end of the game. There are smaller lots on River Ave and now they have a couple of garages right next to the stadium. We usually park in the parking garage that's used for the new shopping center with Target & Home Depot.
here's a site with parking info
My advice- don't pre pay. I did that once and they wouldn't let me in (I was late).
Have fun! HTH
