Sprint or Verizon?
DH and I want to get smartphones (we still have the regular old cell phones with no internet access  ) and wondering whether to stay with verizon or switch to sprint. Any opinions on the two and also on the Evo and Droid phones would be great!

Id say verizon. I hear so many people are so unhappy with sprint service. Before I had verizon I had sprint. I'd never go back.

I've been with verizon for over 6 years and have never had a problem that they didn't work quick to resolve whether it be technical or bill related.

We switched from verizon to Sprint about 1.5 years ago and have been very happy. We don't have any service problems. We get a lot more for less money.

Verizon by far has the best reception. Sprint & AT&T stink in my opinion. So if you don't want lost calls then go w/ Verizon

I was with Verizon and AT&T in the past. I am with Sprint now, I have no complaints! The service is good, the plans are more affordable and I love my HTC EVO!

I've had them all. AT&T being the worst. Verizon is fine but $$$$...Sprint has great service for way less and the HTC EVO is the answer to the Iphone since Verizon doesn't have something like it.

If you are in an area that doesn't have Sprint service, you can roam on Verizon's network for free.
So why pay a premium to Verizon?

Totally totally agree!! We have Sprint and have never had an issue. I've had Verizon and had dropped calls so it's not like you are never going to have a signal die on you. We have 5 phones on a family plan (albeit one of the older plans) and pay a little over $100 a month for unlimited EVERYTHING. It can't be beat.

my friends with sprint do not get service in my home - its pretty fun watching them outside with their phones in the air trying to get their messages.

I've been with Verizon since 2005 - have no complaints, I've always received good customer service. The prices may be higher but you do get what you pay for.

Sorry to hijack but how do you do this?
Basically if you are not getting a Sprint signal, your phone will automatically go into roaming and try to find another signal that will work. In our area since Verizon uses the same digital technology, chances are high that you will roam off Verizon network. And there is no charge for it, it's included in your plan.
