My friend's name is Lori and she is the 2nd grandmother to my DD.. she see's dr's near to my home so I pick her up westchester every month and she stays with me for weeks at a time. I love her to death. She has been my friend for 25 years and I am so proud of her.. she has shown me so much about life.. I really am so happy this is her week with me so I was able to get her to respond to this.. Keep your head up.. Your daughter will be amazing because you are amazing encouraging parents.. God bless your little girl.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers. This is the first time I have reached out like this, and it made me feel good to know that I'm not alone and people do care.
I went to make an appointment with a psychiatrist today, but they couldn't fit me in until mid-September. I am so out of control with anxiety right now, so I went to see my PCP and she gave me a prescription for Zoloft. I'm hoping this will at least just calm me down enough to look at the whole situation rationally because right now I'm just downright hysterical. If it is what they are leaning towards (there is a slim chance that it's not), there are new treatments coming out soon that can preserve or at least help to preserve her eyesight. There are numerous studies and trials and I swear, we will take her ANYWHERE to help her. I'm just having trouble focusing on this and instead focus on the worst.
I really need to put more POSITIVE energy into this, and hopefully once I calm down I can.

First, I am soooooo soooooo sorry for what is happening to your daughter. Second, I am very happy that your husband is the way he is. I am very much like you - if this were happening to my son he may as well already be blind for the way that I would cope with it. I HAVE to put myself in the worst case scenario. My husband is just like yours though - always looking toward the positive. Not dwelling on things that haven't happened yet. Try to lean on him for support as much as you can right now. Definitely seek the help of a professional and if you need to, take something. You need to do whatever you need to do to get yourself thru this time and be there for your daughter.
