Emmie's Paws
Emmie has always licked her paws. I've spoken to the vet about it and he always said there seemed to be nothing wrong. But, I have been noticing blood on the blankets and stuff (little tiny drops) and couldn't find where it was coming from, but had a feeling it was coming from Emma and not Chloe, my cat. Last night I saw her going to town on her paws and I checked them and they are raw! I dont' understand how they don't hurt her, she doesn't complain and I can touch them without her flinching.
I feel so bad for her. And, I feel guilty that I wasn't more persistant with the vet and trusted my instinct that it wasn't just "something she does."
I know she does it more in the spring and summer so I *think* it's an allergy. I will bring her tomorrow to the Dr. and will keep you updated.
Here is a picture of her in her Easter dress! Image Attachment(s):

She's adorable. I hope everything goes well with the vet.

Re: Emmie's Paws
Dixie does this too. Our vet said it was allergies, like when we have itchy skin. He also said it can be a nervous "tick" like when we bite our nails. She never scratches anywhere else, just licks and bites her paws sometimes. I tried booties, socks, everything, she still does it. The only thing that gets her to stop is a treat or when I hold her paw in my hand.
