Miscarriage
Hi Ladies. I don't post on here often anymore, but used to a lot when I planned my wedding (in 2003 on LI Weddings) and when I had a miscarriage in early 2007 and when I was pregnant with my DD (2007/2008).
More recently I was posting when AF was due while I was TTC for #2.
I didn't post that I got a BFP because I was so nervous that I couldn't say it (or type it) to anyone. Well, last week at 8.5 weeks I had a miscarriage. Thankfully I was able to have it naturally (I needed a D&C in 2007 when I had a miscarriage). Now I'm just anxious. The bleeding stopped yesterday and I just want to get back to normal. I am going to the OB for another blood test on Thursday and hope they're down.
How long did your OB's tell you to wait before TTC again? Thanks!

Re: Miscarriage
Sorry for your loss. My mc was natural around 8-9 weeks. My dr told me I could try after AF arrived. I got pg before that and everything is fine.

Re: Miscarriage
Thanks!
haveaquestion - you got pg before AF came? Did you use OPK's - when did you start? My OB said to wait until I get two pd's to allow my uterine lining to build back up. While I'm nervous for another mc, I'm also anxious to start TTC again!!

Re: Miscarriage
Yes I got pg before AF came. I didn't use opk because I didn't want to officially try, but I had cm. I feel like my body treated the mc like af. I usually ovulate 3 weeks after AF and I o'ed 3 weeks after the mc. I really wanted to take my mind off of the loss and didn't think I would actually get pg. I think I would have waited if I had a D&C.

Re: Miscarriage
My dr said that a lot of dr's will say wait til you have one regular cycle, just so they know when you got pg, but , it is ok to conceive right away.

Re: Miscarriage
Thanks everyone! I'm hoping that my #'s have finally gone down, I had another blood test today and will get results on Monday. I feel like once they're down, I can start moving forward!

Re: Miscarriage
I miscarried at 9 weeks but did not know until after 12 weeks and needed a D&C.
I was told to wait 2 cycles so that the lining builds back up and your hormones regulate.
Speak with your doctor and take it from there.

My Dr said to wait 2 cycles as well. I just feel anxious and wanted to hear if anyone was told earlier. After my first miscarriage it took me 7 months to conceive my DD. I am just hoping it doesn't take that long again!

I understand your frustration, I really do. In my follow up visit my doctor said he prefers two cycles, however, if I was pregnant this second again I would most likly be OK but it is really advised to wait 2 cycles. I'm taking it with a grain of salt. I would rather wait and feel confident my body is ready and not increase my risk of this happening again, but if it happens before that I think secretly I would be thrilled to move on from this horrible experience.

Re: Miscarriage
So sorry for your loss. I just had a d and c thursday, I was 7 weeks, but the baby stopped growing at 5w. My doctor said to wait 1 cycle and then I could start. I am very eager to start. I think that is the only thing that will help me move forward. I just want to get my AF, he said 2 to 4 weeks and I should get it. I would follow what your OB says. You want your body to be ready.
