Wishful thinking question (BTDT moms)
This is probably a silly question, but here goes...
I find that doesn't move around at night while I'm sleeping, she never wakes me up and even when I get up to use the bathroom I rarely feel her move. She is super active during the day though.
SO my question for BTDT moms is did you notice the same pattern when you LO was born as when you were pregnant? Like if your LO wasn't so active at night during pregnancy was he/she a good sleeper?
Give me some hope ladies:)
wishful thinking A soon to be first time new mom can dream can't she

Re: Wishful thinking question (BTDT moms)
DS - was up at 11pm every night moving and hiccupping in the womb. He was a good sleeper starting at 3 weeks when we swaddled him, and he STTN at 8 weeks.
DD - very, very quiet baby in the womb. As a newborn/infant, impossible sleeper. Didn't STTN until 5.5 months and still wakes very early.
So no, for me, it wasn't true

Re: Wishful thinking question (BTDT moms)
It really depends on the baby. DD#1 was super active during the day and I didn't really feel her too much at night. She is a super active kid, but she slept ok. She was doing 6 hours stretches by 5 weeks but didn't STTN until we did CIO at 8 months.
DD#2 was more active at night and she STTN at 3 weeks.

Re: Wishful thinking question (BTDT moms)
DD was a very peaceful baby in the belly She never woke me up and was what I would consider a good sleeper as a newborn. She would get up every 3-4 hours for a feeding, but go right back to sleep. She isn't a cry-er and at 3 months she started to sleep 7 hour stretches.

I'm so curious about this, too. My LO has his/her power hour around 5 am!

Re: Wishful thinking question (BTDT moms)
I asked the same question with because he always was quiet at night and I was REALLY hoping he would be the same outside the womb!!
Unfortunately it didn't exactly work that way
However, he was and is not a bad sleeper. When he was a newborn, he would eat every 3-4 hours. Around 8 weeks, he dropped one of his night bottles and started sleeping for a 5-6 hour stretch at night. Between 2.5 months and 4.5 months, he would go through phases where sometimes he would STTN and other times he would wake up for a bottle. But, he only woke when he was hungry and went back to sleep right away. Around 4.5 months, he started to STTN consistently.
So, while he wasn't one of those babies who came home from the hospital sleeping 12 hours at night, he is a decent sleeper!!

Re: Wishful thinking question (BTDT moms)
Unfortuneatly it didn't work for me. She was quiet at night too while in utero. Now she is up every 3 hours- with no regards to time of day!

Re: Wishful thinking question (BTDT moms)
That was actually true for me. I hardly ever felt DD during the night when I was pregnant with her, or I just slept so soundly that I didn't notice. She was most active during the day when I was at work. She STTN from very early on... i think 7 weeks old.

Re: Wishful thinking question (BTDT moms)
My DC was like that. I never once felt a kick at night. But at work I would be going crazy couldnt keep my belly still!
DC was born and from teh first day home was sleeping 5-6 hours at night. By 6 weeks STTN. Always been a great sleeper at night. Never knew what sleep deprivation was. Napping wasnt always easy but I would take STTN over napping well any day!

Re: Wishful thinking question (BTDT moms)
I rarely felt them move during then night. They'd get active around 11ish and then settle down. DD was a good sleeper from the beginning, and DS didn't STTN until he was 15 months old.
