I just finished the latest Sookie Stackhouse book and looking for a new book. Is this series worth reading?

I read the first 14 in a few months.
They are good- but IMHO they get kind of monotonous- same story over and over and over

I enjoyed them up to about the 10th, then like the previous poster mentioned, they got monotonous and I stopped reading. But while I was having fun, I was having FUN reading! Seriously truly laugh out loud FUN!
