3rd Birthday Party - Looking for a party room. Nassau or Queens
Hi all. I'm very new to this forum and this is my very first post. I have been reading and I love how helpful everyone is. It's a great community!
Here's my dilemma. My son turns 3 November 9th. I am planning his party for the 13th. I just recently moved to Maryland and at the last minute, decided to still go ahead with throwing him a bday party in NY like I planned all year. It is very last minute but I am looking for a hall, party room or vfw/koc type of place that is affordable.
I lived in Rosedale Queens, and still have family there so that is where I would be staying. So anywhere in the Queens area or Valley Stream would be ideal. Lynbrook, Hewlett, Rockville Centre and Oceanside are also very close.
I would love to hear your recommendations. Maybe there is something I am missing.
I actually plan to have a carnival/circus theme and will be bringing all of the food, so I'm not looking for a catering hall at all.
Thanks so much in advance!!

Maybe "Knights of Columbus" they have centers all over Queens and Nassau, not sure which one is the best one.
Theres also "dance club Int'l" in middle village. Link

My family has had some parties at Christ the King Church in East Meadow. It's no where near as fancy as some KOC/VFW halls can be, but its VERY reasonable (you need to set up everything- including taking out and putting away the chairs and tables).
here's the number: (516) 731-3902

Not sure they'd let you bring food but Carosello they've got party rooms and video games for kids, it's in Howard Beach, Queens

I was going to suggest the same place since you are having the carnival theme. I read a post earlier today on the Parenting board about Carosellos and one of the girls was raving about it. Either that or there is also a great Knights of Columbus in Oceanside that all the girls on the parenting board recommend. You may want to try also posting this question on the Parenting board, you might get more responses. Good luck and welcome

Thanks a lot for all of the suggestions!!
NYPD-Wife - I am waiting on a call back from Dance Club! Hopefully I hear back by tomorrow.
missfabulous - Thanks so much for the number! I'm going to call tomorrow morning. My sis actually told me she took my nephew to a wrestling event there not too long ago, believe it or not. I am so glad you suggested this.
Mushesgirl and Momma2Be - Carosello looks great! I'm going to call them in the morning. I didn't really want it catered but this has a great child-friendly menu. I am on the website now. Thanks a lot!
And thanks to Momma2Be for suggesting I put it on the other forum. I am going to do that now. You all have been so helpful!!
