Roseola and daycare: was your child able to
go back to daycare when the rash was still around? I know they aren't contagious anymore but does daycare keep them out anyway?

The rash can last for a little bit longer so as long as the fever is gone you should be good. Worst case have your Dr fax them a note.

We were always told "fever free for 24 hours" with everything. I honestly cannot remember if she still had the rash when she went back. I always try to get medical releases if we see the peds just to cover ourselves.

Once the rash comes out, they are no longer contagious. The rash usually comes after the fever. We wee lucky that the fever came over a long weekend - by the time he went back to daycare, the fever was gone and just the rash was there.
