paint color for half bath with wainscotting
We're putting beadboard on the bottom half of or half bath. What color should I paint the top half? I was thinking a dark chocolate brown or a light color so I have no clue...If anyone has any ideas or pics def post!!!

This is exactly what we want to do with our downstairs half bathroom. I was thinking of a brown, but there are a million browns.
Hopefully someone has good ideas. We want to do crown molding so the white pops against the brown. Choc brown sounds good.

I highly recommend Ashwood (Behr). We did half brown and half white subway tile and the contrast is gorgeous IMO :) it's a cool light brown Image Attachment(s):

Blue!! I love blue bathrooms and I think that color would look great with wainscotting. Here are some examples I found on google...

I looooove blue..but we're doing blue in our master bedroom, this is a a half bath in the den, I feel like it's too much blue, no????

We just redid our bath with wainscotting on the bottom and light grey on top to match our tile.

Wow, we are about to do the SAME exact thing!! I was thinking chocolate brown as well. I already have one green bathroom and one blue bathroom. I love the contrast of the brown/white.
I have about 10 brown swatches up right now but can't make a decision. Let me know what color browns you are leaning toward!

I like blue too-- especially for a half bath since it's smaller-- blues are open and airy. I painted our office BM Spring Rain and I really like how it came out. I picked the color because I googled paint colors to brighten up dark/small spaces.. I don;t think it's blue overkill if you are doing master in blue either...

I have wainscotting in my bathroom and we did the top part burgundy. I love it!
I don't have any pictures and would have to check the name, but I think it was Benjamin Moore's Classic Burgundy.

ok, don't laugh at me......I did a purple-lavender in my half-bath, as I wanted it to be stark white and lavender......I thought it was kinda fun and different, and I plan on putting wainscotting in, too....it's not a scary purple color, either...kinda muted/fresh ... it was Behr, as I didn't want to spend a lot for just a tiny bathroom. It is called Midsummer Night.

I think it was Skew who has a beautiful half bath with white wainscoting and chocolate brown walls. Check it out, I think it looks really pretty and not too dark at all.

We did a slate blue (BM Adagio) in our master and a light blue (BM Yarmouth Blue) in our guest bathroom and i'm even thinking of doing our master bathroom another shade of blue/green. I think it's fine!
