Need to stop obsessing
So DH's BFF, our best man, is engaged. He comes over today and tells us they set a date, 7/23. I'm so obsessed with TTCing that my first thought is "oh that will be my due date if we get a BFP this cycle." Luckily I didn't say it aloud, but I did give him and DH a goofy grin, so I'm sure they both think I'm insane. Also, I'm going home in December for a high school friend's baby shower, and my only thoughts have been "how pregnant will I be then? Can I tell them? Will they know?" Seriously I need to stop thinking about everything in terms of TTCing.
Don't see that happening anytime soon, so lots of  to all of you!!!!!!!!!!

Trust me you are not alone. I dont have any major events but I just think about it constantly..I think I use your frame of thinking mostly at work, like "I cant life these boxes when Im pregnant" etc..

We're going to our friends' wedding tomorrow and back in January I was out at a bridal expo with the bride and I TOTALLY slipped and said something like "I hope to be pregnant by your wedding!" Then I BEGGED her not to tell her fiance (who works with DH). I didn't want DH to find out I was saying things like that!
Now, it's tomorrow... and I am!!! So keep up the positive thinking!!!!!!

Thanks girls, it's just the nature of the game!
ETA: I just want to clarify I'm not thinking oh I don't want to get pregnant b/c of the wedding, I just think in those terms now. If someone is making NYE plans, I automatically think well that would be a waste of money b/c I won't be drinking then, I'll be x weeks pregnant.  Again I'm just crazy.

I used to live my life that way. Then I even GOT PREGNANT and stayed that way for several months and in that time made plenty of assumptions.
I'm more of a day to day person these days....

Well I think the best story of my life would be that I was born on my parents best friends wedding day. My dad was in the wedding party, my mom goes into labor, late that night, dad is piss asss drunk, goes to the wrong hospital where he is yelling at the nurses to let him see me, calls my grandma who tells him he's at the wrong hospital, he goes to the right hospital they won't let him see me because he was drunk so he puts on a nurses uniform and gets in .
True story to the tee. My parents were 23 at that time in 1981 LOL
What you could get away with then....

you are DEF not alone. Every month I think about what family gathering could possibley occur in 12 weeks that would allow me to share the news with my fam together. Of course now, it's christmas..
Everything is in terms of how pg will I be then?
