Another Girl name poll...which spelling
I like this name for a girl with the nick name Addie. It is pronounced Add-a-lyn. Like Madeline without the M. Any opinions?

to me, "line" in a name makes it sound like LINE (rhyming with wine), KWIM?
"lynn" or any other variation of that, makes it sound softer.

If you want her name to rhyme with Madeline, then you should spell it with the "line" at the end... otherwise it will rhyme with Madelyn like LYNN as in Evelyn.
I knew a girl named Adeline growing up and we called her Addy.

if agree that if you prounounce it like "lynn" you should use that spelling. . I kind of like adeline though (with the line sound too though!)
