I wouldn't be offended AT ALL, just think about the money that you saved by not attending. Did you invite this person to your wedding? If so then I would be a bit offended.

in that situation, i'd be miffed! i'd take it personally. i only had a few colleagues at my wedding, my close friends and my boss and his wife. but yes, if that happened to me....miffed.
