Mom's who started with breathable bumpers?
When DC started moving around a lot in their crib did you switch to the regular bumpers?

No, in fact the reason for the breathable bumpers is more for when they start moving around... so that if they smoosh their face up against the rails or a corner they can still breathe.
And yes, you will hear the occasional bump of them bumping their head against the rails. But both my DC used breathable bumpers and we never had any issues.

ITA with this! We started with nothing, and when my son started rolling around we put the breathable bumpers on. Our ped explained to us that the risk of suffocation is higher than the risk of serious head injury, and that was enough for me!

Nope - we stuck w/them! DS is almost 16m and we still have them on there.

okay, we will just stick with the breathable bumpers. I was afraid of her hitting her head or getting a limb stuck but I would rather that then her suffocating on the regular bumpers

we've had breathable bumpers since the beginning and are keeping them. DS is 1 and has had the occasional bump of the head, but I still feel safer using the breathable ones.
