Perhaps this has been asked before but...
I had a convo with DH today. He asked me if I had seen some pictures of our friend's children that had been emailed to us. He thought the 3 year old girl in a tu-tu was very cute. I told him he was softening up and said that he would love to be a father of a little girl. His response was that he would love to have a son first or to at least have one.
Now I know many of us who are either thinking about TTC or who are actively TTC would be happy and most certainly blessed with any healthy child whether it be a boy or a girl, but does anyone begrudge their DH's for wanting a boy? Does that change if he is the last male child of his family? For some reason it doesnt bother me at all.

I think that once that baby is on the way...the only thing either one of you will care about is that the baby is healty

we both want a boy first... though obviously we'd be content with whatever god has planned for us.
that being said... i know DH really wants a little girl so much too. he's such a sap when it comes to little girls (he's a complete mush with his nieces)... and i know taht he'll be the dad trying to figure out how to put pigtails in her hair, and trying to figure out how to sip tea out of a tiny cup with his bear hands

Well, of course I'll take any gender and any number at this point but I would feel a bit bad if we didn't have a boy. DH has two sisters and his only male cousin is an A$$ (practically a criminal) and no one talks to him so our boy would be the only "normal" family member to carry on the name.

I would love to have a little girl. I love all the adorable pink dresses and pretty outfits. I also have a name picked out for a girl, which I LOVE!
DH of course wants a boy to carry the name.
I would be happy with a healthy baby, but I have to be honest, I would LOVE to have a baby
