I read that they just started being able to lend out books but I think the only way it works is that you decide what books you want to loan out and have to put in the email address of the person you want to send it to.

If you go to amazon.com and go to your account and "manage your kindle" there is a list of books you have and a "+" to the left of the book if you click that it will say loan this book and you can put someones email address on there and they have 2 weeks to read it
Can we make this thread for people who want to borrow and lend books?

*If anyone has stephanie plum #13 id love to borrow that one or nantucket nights by elin hilderbrand
I'll edit this thread anytime a book is borrowed because I think it can only be used once and if anyone wants to add to this thread with books that you have that would be great

I just heard about that and went to check my books and out of 25 books, only 1 is lendable - wonder why??

Its up to the publisher whether or not to allow it.

Anyone know if you can loan the same book to a person twice in case they aren't finished after 14 days?

See, this is one of my biggest pet peeves with the kindle and nook. If I bought a book in the store, I could lend it to whomever I wanted and for any amount of time. Why should it be any different if I buy it on them?

This is what I did (thanks to another LIF'er who mentioned it). I borrowed one and the person who I borrowed it from asked if I could tell him I liked it, but there is 2 week borrow date...I wonder if each person decides how long to loan it for?
