Early april birthday questions...
Well I can't believe it, but I have to start planning DD's first birthday!! It's early April, so it might be too cold to host outside, and unfortunately, my home would be too small. Where do people get information on halls like knights of columbus or VFW kind of thing...somewhere I can decorate and bring in my own food entertainment?

I know me too! MY dd is early april. was thinking of having it at my house. Sometimes April can be warm. I was at the beach the day before I had dd on April 8th.

My DD is early april too.. We had a great party last year, at a great price, at uncle bacalas... They did an awesome job.. this year we are going much smaller since its her 2nd bday and I am going to be 9 months pregnant... but already have a list over 40... so who knows.. if you are in nassau, check it out! They have amazing food, and throw an awesome party!

Do restaurants like that let you bring in some kind of entertainment? We are going to have some kids there (most older than DD), so I wanted to get a magician or face painter or something

ugh im looking too because ds bday is march 31st but weather is so unpredictable. when i came home with him, i was in a tank top but u never know. so ive looked at i think every hall on li and they all want 50 a person plus tax and gratuity, or more. some even wanted 80!   i dont know what to od. i have like 80 people and want to have it april 3 and time is running out.

I am in the same boat.. it would be so much easier if my house was a little bigger to have it here.. DS's birthday is the 22nd which turns out to be easter weekend so I think we will wait till the next weekend and hopefully it will be a little warmer so we can have it here outside.

I know this is the weekend we wanted to have it too!! Im thinking we are only going to have like 30-40 people. I wish I could guarantee great weather

DS's bday is early March so we don't have an outside option at all. Our place (coop apartment) is obviously too small and no one else in our families has a large enough place either (we're city folk). So our options are either a very small gtg at home with just the immediate family, or get a small place and do it there.
Since it's his 1st bday, we're trying to get the rec center/community center they used for my baby shower. Nothing fancy AT ALL, but it's more about the company than the place, I think.
Reminds me, I really have to get cracking on this!!!

My dd's bday is the 17th. That is also palm sunday. We are going to try to do it outside. We will get a tent and hope for the best. I am worried though. I figured early on the day the better. Start at 11:30? Hmmm. Not sure if we are crazy to think this will work.

That's true. Whatever time works for you. I always plan birthday parties around dc's naptime.
