NYC Civil Tests
If anyone is interested I got this e-mail today at work
Civil Service Tests Open for Filing 2/2/11
Open Competitive: Administrative Accountant, Administrative Engineer, Auto Mechanic, Auto Mechanic (Diesel), Marine Oiler.

So, is NYC just as slow as Suffolk County with reporting results. Suffolk County Civil Services takes 9-12 months after you take the exam to get your results.

yup!! takes about a year to hear back. sometimes more!

All the test I have taken it have taken over 1 year to get the scores. I took a test in June'09 got my list appt in Aug '10. They still havent called the list.

Does anyone know if the Residency requirement is MUST reside in NYC??? It states, "Might"..??????
I work for the city of NY and I have to either live in NYC, LI, or part of Upstate...
Is there a number to call?
