Would this have an effect on which job offer you'd choose?
Job 1 REALLY wants you, doesn't want to lose you to Job 2, very accomodating to anything you request and just won't take No for an answer basically. Owner called you directly after turning down position twice.
Job 2 wants you but seems to be sticking to their original offer, more go by the book and no bending over backwards like the job above.
I know there are a lot of other things to consider, but would this have a big impact on your decision?

Like you said, there's lots of other factors, but yes, it probably would affect my decision.

No
i'd still go by the original criteria you posted for job #1 and job #2
their 'desire' for him doesn't have any bearing on the overall job once he starts working there

Depends on why you turned down Job 1 to begin with. Working for an accomodating company would be a big factor for me. But because Job 2 isn't bending over backwards for someone that isn't yet an employee wouldn't deter me.

I would pick Job 1...but it depends on where you really want to work.

Re: Would this have an effect on which job offer you'd choose?
yes. it shows a lot to me. respect. the idea that I am not just a number.
I am probably the only person that said he should take the job at the small place, and this is precisely why.
I like the idea of being a person where I work. and since *I* don't work in that type of climate I like that dh is.
you never know where you can take that small company. but that larger one..they have something else guiding and driving them.
I don't know...it's just the way I think.
I would never want my dh to leave his smaller firm for a big firm, even with the more $$ they would offer. it's just not the climate I want to compete with at home, kwim?

For me it would, because to me it seems like they are more flexible and willing to work with you, which for me would be necessary with kids.

Yes that would definitely effect my decision. If all other factors are the same, I'd go with job 1.

After everything you wrote...I would go w/Job #1. Sounds like he will be a valued employee which will make him a happy employee!
Good Luck!

Re: Would this have an effect on which job offer you'd choose?
It sounds like Job 1 is willing to offer you more than Job 2.
I'd go with the better job and offer. I don't know if it would matter if they wanted me more because who you would be working with/for can be different from if they can offer you more. Hope that makes sense.
I know when I was hiring an analyst, I wanted to fight and give better offers but my hands were tied with HR. Everyone gets the same package. That type of decision would only come from the CFO. My immediate boss and I had no real say in the package offered. That doesn't mean we didn't want the candidate more.

I'd go with the better job and offer.
That's the thing... the better job doesn't have the better offer. DH thought he had it figured out but Job 1 really isn't letting him go that easily.

Re: Would this have an effect on which job offer you'd choose?
Yes I think it would. If Job #1's is that persistent and keeps making offers, it would certainly make me rethink the offer. And it could be a good indication of how accommodating they would be, which is a huge + in my book.

Re: Would this have an effect on which job offer you'd choose?
I didn't see your other posts but I am going to offer a differing opinion based on situations I've been in:
In my experience, if a job is really pushing you to accept, it has to make you wonder about what kind of environment you may be walking into.
Is it a huge mess with unrealistic expectations they are going to want you to try to "fix"?
Are they going to expect you to become married to your job?
This happened to me in the last 2 positions I held prior to my current role.
Just some food for thought.......not saying that this is what is going on.

Re: Would this have an effect on which job offer you'd choose?
Thanks again for your input.
DH went with Job 2!
They offered him more than the original offer today and he met with some more people and felt good about working there. He called Job 1 and the owner said to contact him anytime if it doesn't work out so DH feels good that there are no hard feelings there.
