Pour room temperature water in to desired ounces. Add formula, shake till you think it is all dissolved. Then shake again. Feed kid.Chat Icon

Re: playtex drop ins

We use the ready to feed formula but if we didn't I would just mix and shake in the bottle.

I heat it up in a cup of very hot water just to take the chill off but if you use powered formula I would just leave the plain water in the bottle on the counter and add in the mix, give it a shake and feed...no need to warm up!

exactly. we did not heat bottles. They drink whatever they're used to so if you warm them they will want them warm. If they get cold bottles then they'll drink cold bottles. I prefer my milk ice cold so I can't imagine warm bottles.

Re: playtex drop ins

I couldn't make the formula in the bottle because it created a lot of bubbles and DS had reflux so that wasn't good.

I bought the Dr. Brown's Formula Pitcher and would make a day's worth of formula, then pour out each individual bottle and put them in the fridge.

I used to warm each bottle in a bowl or cup of hot water for 2 minutes. But when he was about 4 months old, I started giving them to him straight from the fridge. Best thing I did! Makes my life infinitely easier when we're out. I take the bottles in a cooler and they go straight into his mouth when he's hungry.
