the sinus infection that will NOT quit

i have had this sinus infection (off and on) for 2 months! ive been on antibiotics twice and will probably go back on them today...

i have a golf ball lymph node anyone else going through this? which meds worked and knocked it out?

Ouch! I have similar problems in that I am prone to sinus infections and get them several times a year. Have you tried using a neti-pot? I cannot live without mine. I use mine often even if I don't have a sinus infection and it really seems to help.

It has to be the weather...I have been the same way since Thanksgiving..On and off antibiotics...Five of my friends are also suffering..It is horrible. I hope what ever is causing it, goes away. As for the large lymph node, I don't know anything about it...Sorry

i have very bad sinus problems and believe it or not the chiropractor was the only one able to help me! I went to the regular dr, allergists, etc. nothing helped. I felt a different the first time i went back to the chiropractor. my chiro also does sinus drainage on me when its really bad.

the neti-pot is great too... it definitely provides some relief, but it is temporary.

I have a sinus infection and a ear infection now. I have been on a zpak, and I feel like it is barely away. I just had one in December. I am going back to the ENT tomorrow.I hope you feel better.

finally, 2 weeks later, im better.

i was put on Biaxin and it did nothing. time was the only thing that helped

have you been tested for allergies?
I've been battling sinus infection for years. I always just assumed it was being caused from scar tissue from a sinus surgery years ago...well nope!
Turns out Im allergic to my dogs
and I believe so is my dd and thats why she has had so many ear infections

My ENT told me that zpak doesn't work for sinuses.

I forget what i was on. I think i blocked it out of my mind since i had a sinus infection once a month for a whole year before i had my surgery.

I took a lot of ceftin i believe.

I know my ENT said that many doctors only prescribe 7-10 days of antibiotics when most of the time 14 days is needed to kick it.

I'm usually on 3 weeks of very strong antibiotics plus steroids. Any less that that for me will not fix an infection.
