talk to me about kids shoes
where do you buy them....
only stride rite, target, payless, ect.
do you always get them sized or just figure "he was a 11 last summer so lets try size 12"

We usually get a good pair at Nordstrom. I let her pick. It's usually Geox, Primigi, Lelli Kelly, etc. I do get her sized because she has a really narrow foot and it's hard to get shoes that fit her well.
If we need shoes for an outfit or a look we'll do cheaper. But I encourage her to wear her good shoes more often than not.

If I feel they need to be sized I take them to Kids Foot Locker. If I know their size I use Zappos.

I just started to get her sized every 2months then I go on line and find deals .. I love the lelli kelly and ecco for boots.

Payless.
I time it for the BOGO sales. I try to buy shoes with a little bit of room in them in the toe but not so much they slip.

We have to get my younger one sized all the time and usually buy at stride rite since we know they fit in the store ( he is an XW). I will have my older one measured there as well but always buy at shoebuy. Their sales are just too good!!

This is exactly what we do for both.
Nordstrom shoe department is the BEST - they measure the best (and I think are starting a sale next week- we got a postcard)

we do kids foot locker for DS hes 3.5 we used stride right twice for each kid. their cruising shoes and their first pair of walkers.
after that, foot locker for DS and since i am a shoe snob for DD, i shop where they have the name brands she wears.

Another Nordstom shopper. I take the kids there for their one pair of sturdy, everyday shoes and it gives me an excuse to shop for myself!

I get them measured at Clarks and buy school shoes there (their sizes are european so if he's a 13 there he's a 12 in american brands).
Then I order Keens, Crocs, and whatever sneakers from Zappos. Snow boots are usually Lands End on sale, this year they got Clarks boots also.

we go to the stride rite outlet and get her sized. I get her a good pair of sneakers and dress shoes. Then I get boots and other stylish shoes from Target, childrens place, or wherever.
