Camps Discussion

Please share what Camps you may have sent your DC to in the past. Would you recommend the camp? Did your DC like the camp? Did you find the camp priced high, just right or cheap?

DS went to South Shore in Bellmore for a few years. Everything was onsite and he loved it. They have extended hours so it worked well for us when we were both working FT.

Last year we sent him to a 1/2 day summer rec program through our school district - that one gets a big Never Again. We sent him to the Nassau County Cub Scout day camp out in Wading River (Schiff) the last week of the summer - it was the best experience and well worth the money. He absolutely loved it. He will go back again for week this year.

Hofstra University camp... WAY WAAAAAAAY expensive though. (even with my 25% discount) but DS loved it, WE loved it...

and now- YMCA in Greenpoint Brooklyn

LOVE them both... but they're no Hofstra!
