Ladies who switched from Lovenox to Heparin..

I'm 37 weeks and started my Heparin a few days ago. I'm having an allergic reaction so the Dr's put me back on Lovenox for now. Has anyone had this experience?

no bad exp with the heparin, i was on lovenox and heparin with ds#1 but on lovenox my whole pregnancy with ds#2. my dr didnt bother switching me over - he said it wasnt really necessary.
the heparin has a shorter half life in the body than lovenox - thats the reason they sometimes switch u over

Yeah, that's exactly why they switched me over. The Heparin has 12 hour life as oppposed to the Lovenox - which is 24 hrs.

I have a rash at both of the injection sites so for now I'm back on Lovenox. I guess I'll see what the Dr says. I've been on Lovenox my whole pregnancy (and prior - I'm an IVF patient).

I want that epidural! LOL
