Goal achieved!
This morning, weighed myself and reached my pre-pregnancy weight from before my FIRST pregnancy! YAY!!!!! Now I ned advice about NOT losing anymore weight. I am running longer distances now. I am a big eater for someone my size and I eat a lot of junk food. I want to try to continually eat healthier for my long term health - but how do I do this without dropping more weight? I feel like replacing junk with something healthy is pretty much cutting more calories and carbs from my diet. Should I try those after workout protein bars? My BMI right now is ~19-20 so don't want that to change at all.

Re: Goal achieved!
First of all- congrats!! Your pics on the success story thread are such an inspiration. I would have NEVER known you had twins! You are one hot mama!
I think a great way to maintain your weight..or even build muscle is with protein shakes or bars following a workout. My trainer always reccomended them to me to eat after I worked out.

Re: Goal achieved!
Thank you! I am so happy!
DH tried forcing me to eat myoplex bars... honestly I almost threw up (YUCK) and had bad stomach cramps afterwards. Is there something better tasting and more gentle on the stomach than myoplex?

Re: Goal achieved!
Congrats!
I wish I had to worry about not losing anymore weight!! I find when I run longer, I eat more and therefore do not lose weight. When I was marathon training, I think I actually gained weight!!

Re: Goal achieved!
I would add some extra protein, eat more fruits, and some healthy fats to keep your calories up!! Just really plan and you will be fine!
Congrats!

I don't mind gaining weight as long as its its muscle!
The weight I am at now has been the weight I have been for most of my life, so I wonder if my body will just stay at this weight and not go lower? But I do want to continue cutting down on candy bars, cookies, chips, etc... hoping I can eat healthier and not have that effect my weight.

Maybe just cut out one thing at a time so it's not so overwhelming. If you are a chocolate freak, maybe try those cocoa roasted almonds from emerald nuts....they are sooo good. They have fat, but "good fat". Or did you look at the power bar line of products for a recovery? I eat the performance energy ones for before running sometimes...I believe they make an "after workout" one. Back to the junk food, just maybe cut down the amount.
I do believe a lot of the weight is muscle when running, but you definitely need more food for fuel. I just think I had it in my head back then...."well, I just ran 15 meals, I can go eat everything in sight" LOL

Re: Goal achieved!
Congrats Julie, that is awesome!!!
Like OP said, usually when I up my miles I up my food intake...which is hard to do because I eat all day anyway Do you like nuts? This is a good way to take in extra calories/healthy fat.

I, too, have the same issue. I run pretty high mileage, but because of this my appetite is much more than a typical person. I easily eat 2000-2500 calories a day, sometimes more... I feel like the more you run, the hungrier you will be, so it all evens out.

I gained training for my first marathon too! But you can eat good dense foods that help with running/muscles. Nuts, hummus, avocados, chocolate milk, etc
