Six Month Temper Tantrums?
Moms, I need your help/opinions. My daughter has recently been crying non-stop at night for an hour/sometimes two. The moment you pick her up, she stops.
But you have to pick her up and walk around. If you stop, she starts again. I've been TRYING to let her cry it out. It's been exhausting. Do you think that's the right thing to do? Is this normal?
Thanks for the help

Re: Six Month Temper Tantrums?
I think so.
My 7 month old just started doing this.
She went from the sweetest, most mild-mannered baby to throwing full on tantrums all the time.
I even took her to the dr. bc I thought maybe she was sick, she was crying so much.
But she stops the second I pick her up, so the dr. thinks it is behavorial.

Re: Six Month Temper Tantrums?
Did the doctor suggest anything? Maybe it's just a phase? It's so hard because my daughter reaches a point where she makes herself sick.

Re: Six Month Temper Tantrums?
No suggestions.
I think with my DD she is frustrated bc she is very active and always lunging at things and can't crawl or get around yet.
Diaper changes are a nightmare too.
I'm at a loss myself.

Re: Six Month Temper Tantrums?
I wouldn't call this a temper tantrum, but I know what you mean. DS was a fabulous sleeper for months, then he started this at 5.5m, and it was so random at first, but then it was happening every night. When he hit 6m, I did CIO extinction.
That was the end of that! in 2 nights, cried 15 minutes first night, like 10 the next, and the 3rd night, he just cried for a minute maybe.
My ped said its either teething or sleep cycles. Give them meds for teething at night, and as for the sleep cycle, some eventually figure it out, some just cry till you lull them to sleep. I decided to nip that in the bud with CIO and very happy I did.
