I am in that boat too. I know she is probably a great technician which is ideal but I don't get the warm fuzzies.

I loved Dr. Hearne but not sure she is as good technically.

My PCP recommended Dr. Putterman.

Mom may need a D&C and so far they can't tell anything since she can't tolerate any of the office procedures. It looks like this is the next step.

I've used Dr. Putterman, she was in the same office as Dr. Scavo (not sure if she still is). I liked her just fine, made me feel as comfortable as I could, did her thing, answered any questions, went our seperate ways.

If she's still the same office (All About Women in Mineola), be prepared for a ridiculous wait time to get a non-emergency appointment.

I called in January and the next appointment was in May.

Thanks.

Mom is going to go ahead with the D&C as planned. Dr. Putterman seems to be a very confident technician. She has now been on the phone with me several times to help us make the decision.

Mom has some significant health issues and I was very scared about her going through with the procedure.

She has something going on and we're hoping it's not serious. Hoping for a benign finding.

Dr. Hearne while a really nice doc she recommended doing it at a major medical center not Huntington Hospital due to mom's medical history.

So the decision was made for us.
