Have you & DH gotten supplemental Life Insurance yet?

i accidentally posted this in the wrong forum a moment ago..

anyway..

just curious if/when you all have gotten policies yet, and what your criteria was.....

we finally got in over the weekend after getting quotes from several different companies and brokerages.

i always wanted to do whole life, for the ca$h dividends, but we ended up each getting a 20 year term life policy on one another. the rates for 30 year terms weren't that much different than 20 year terms, initially, but the renewal rates were through the roof.

we ended up going with state farm. so many of the smaller brokerages had really bad "bedside manner" for lack of a better term when discussing the future and what could happen.

thoughts on what anyone else has done yet....

I haven't done it yet, it's on our to-do list! I know DH has supplemental through his credit union but we want a larger policy (I think his was only $100k).

Nope. I have a policy through my job that just gives my benificaries my yearly sallary +1k. We don't have any kids right now and that's fine. DH and I will look into buying a full policy once we have a child. Right now it's not worth it.
