Girls that are on the fence about being team green.....
Do it!!!!!!!
I was so on the fence... even after my 20 week sonogram. It drove me crazy not knowing and to not be able to "prepare" the way I wanted to.
Well with a few weeks left to go it is the most exciting thing ever. I found out with my last two pregnancies and can honestly say I wasn't this excited at the end. Yes I couldn't wait to meet my baby but the anticipation of finding out what it is has been better then I could have imagined
I'm so glad I didn't give in those 10,000 times I wanted to
Plus I have found some creative ways to get around not being able to prepare AND not having to have any gender neutral stuff for the baby. I'm happy to share some tips if anyone is interested

ITA! I didn't find out with our 1st child and I loved not knowing. WIth #2 we found out and I liked not knowing better. If we have a 3rd, I am not going to find out.
ETA - From my own personal experience and at baby showers, I have found that those on team green get more stuff off of their registries and less clothes.

i agree with this - i barely got any clothes at my shower with my first pregnancy - got tons after he was born - but i got everything i needed and more for the baby at my shower - i ended up with a huge credit at bbb which came in handy for the things i really needed
i loved the anticipation around my first baby's birth - everyone wanting to know the sex
this time i want to stay team green but it is a lot harder with more sonograms because i am having twins

I'm a lurker....just started TTC but was recently shocked when my DH requested we stay GREEN. I am a former event planner so I pretty much had my or future nursery all planned out. So I am back to the drawing board! Do you mind sharing those tips? I would love to hear them!
TIA

ITA LOVE being Team
We were Team with DS. It was soo exciting to tell everyone... It's a Boy!!! Everyone was so excited. Then we also kept the name secret and told everyone that it's a boy and his name is Mason Gabriel
I didn't have a shower. We did a neutral nursery with DS and then added more boy things when he was born. He was in our room the 1st 3 months anyway so we could easily make changes.
With #2 coming we're just as excited not knowing. This time I want a boyish or girly room. We're just holding off on doing the nursery. Picking out two types of room then will do it when the baby is here.

Totally true. I was at a shower the other day and she got so many clothes, it was insane. However, what she didn't get was also insane...she is going to have to buy a ton of stuff that she needs. I kind of felt bad for her.

What I'm doing is planning both nurseries with an interior designer. At the end of my pregnancy, I'm going to have the sono tech write down the sex and give it to the designer so she knows the gender. Then, when I go into labor, I'm going to call her and she is going to go to my house and do the nursery while we are in the hospital. It's a little hectic and logistically annoying but hopefully it will all work out in the end.

I wanted to add, IMO tons of clothes for the 1st 3 months is a bit of a waste. They are mostly eating, sleeping and pooping and you really aren't going out much so a ton of outfits isn't necessary.
