Travel help

Hi Ladies,

I am just starting to get into the groove and feel better about myself. My weight is moving in the right direction in a healthy way and I am relieved. Of course, this weekend we are going away with work to chaperone a trip to Washington D.C. Any ideas for healthy snacks to bring? I need things that I can portion out so that I don't just keep eating let's say a box of cheeze its because I have the whole box, ya know?

I would like things that are healthy, maybe relatively low in carbs and fat etc. Thanks girls!!

What about cheerios? You can portion out one serving (1 cup) into small baggies. They're such a good snack. I always love snacking on cheerios.

I really like the kashi go lean crunch bars. They have a decent amount of protein. I dont have one on me so I'm not sure about the fat content, but I believe its a little lower than other bars.

Oranges, bananas and other fruit that doesn't need to be refridgerated is good. I would worry about bananas getting crushed though.

Rice cakes. You can bring a jar of PB or Almond Butter and some plastic utensils to spoon it on. Or have them plain!

Maybe portion out some trail mix or get the 100 calorie bags of almonds or nuts?

Some of my favorite snacks:
1- Trader Joe's individually packed trail mix. They have a few different varieties.
2-Apples and oranges
3-Dole fruit cups in 100% fruit juice.
4-Larabars -the tropical fruit tart and peanut butter and jelly are my favorites.
5- Bloom's rice cake thins (20 calories each) with almond butter
6- chicken of the sea tuna and salmon cups
