I gained 50lbs throughout college. About two years later, I found out I had PCOS. I'm not 100% sure if the weight gain was related to PCOS or just college, however it defintely could have been a contributing factor.
Since then I have been on Weight Watchers and lost over 60lbs which I have kept off. Although I'm skinny now, if I have a few bad days I can VERY easily put the weight right back on. (Grr sometimes I wish I could just be one of those natural skinny people!)
Knowing that PCOS can lead to easy weight gain (and I do gain weight easily) I stay on track with my diet. I could have never lost the weight without Weight Watchers in the first place. I got into good healthy eating habits and have continued since.
I know it can be scary at first (everything- the PCOS, weight gain, other side effects, all the freakin blood they take!!!) but its managable. FM me if you have any other questions or need help. I'm here!

I was on metformin for some time when i was TTC and it didn't help me lose weight at all. It really messed with my stomach.
I think WW is a good balance to help lose weight. I lost some weight at one point on atkins, then a south beach type diet but that is just impossible to make a lifestyle for me. WW is more of a lifestyle i think. And you will still lower your carb intake.
