Re: Runners - help, Injury related (loooong story)
I did the Cow Harbor and developed runner's knee about 1 week later. I was devastated because I just decided to start training for a 1/2 marathon. I think the downhill running in the Cow Harbor aggravated it- I had run that distance plenty times before but always flat.
With lots of rest and physical therapy I recovered enough to make up to where I was- decided to try again for a 1/2 marathon but I am now preggers with #3.
Anyway, pushing yourself this weekend could make what might be a MINOR injury MAJOR.
Get to a Dr - ASAP. FM me if you want a recommendation for someone in the Northport area. You will be okay- probably just need a little rest and, at worst, some PT. This will s*ck- but only for a little while!

I am just seeing this now. Julie, you need to get checked out. I know how you feel I am still recovering from this virus (haven't run since last Thursday). The 1/2 is in two weeks time and I don't know when the heck I am going to be able to run again
It is hard to let go of something you have been working so hard for and REALLY want to do, but you need to make sure this isn't going to do anymore damage then is already done. Lots of
I hope you feel better soon....
