cash back rewards
Does anyone here take advantage of cash back rewards?
I've been w/ Chase rewards for about 5 years now and they've made way too many changes over the year. I'm thinking of shopping around for something new.
What do you use?

Re: cash back rewards
i use AmEx blue cash for cash back rewards. they have made some changes recently too, but the premise is basically still the same. depending on how much you have spent to date for the year, you get cash back on all purchases (more from what they call every day purchases - supermarkets, gas stations, drug stores). i use it for every thing and usually get back around $900-1000 cash back each year.
it used to be you could only get your cash back once a year. now they have changed it that you can get it whenever you want, as long as you have earned at least $25.

Yes, I have Chase Freedom for years now and every year get about $700-1000 cash back. I also charge almost everything to that card. We rack up about 1500-3000 in purchases per month.
I'm think about switching to Fidelity 'cus that card gives 2% for all purchases and deposits it into a retirement account. Nice!

Re: cash back rewards
most of my cards and my debit cards from chase have rewards - I always go for the cash back option or with my amex, you can use your points to pay for everyday purchases. they've all been pretty easy to use, I've used chase, citi & amex!

Re: cash back rewards
We have a capital one rewards card and it works out very well. We get 1% back for the first thousand, 2% back for anything beyond that. We live in the city and tend to spend a lot so it works out very well, much better for us than the old gas/groceries/prescriptions arrangement we used to have.
We actually have the travel card which works out well for us because you can apply your points directly to qualifying travel expenses on your bill (hotels, flights, etc but most importantly NYC cabs!!! so we can use our points in very low increments if we want rather than waiting to build up to $50 like our old card required). We charge as much as we can and pay off our bill in full every month and rack up tons of perks.
We also recently signed up for upromise and get a lot back from that as well, on top of other cc rewards.
Edit: we signed up for capital one because it's the only non-specialty card without an international transaction fee and made it our primary card because the perks were the best for our needs
