Experience with "Vanity Pounds"?
Do any of you on here have experience losing "vanity pounds" meaning when you are already in a healthy weight range but want to lose the last 10-20 pounds to put you on the lower end and make you feel better? How long did it take you? Did you do anything different or special to help take it off?
I am at a healthy weight range and have been focusing on eating healthy and counting calories, and working out 5-7 days a week working on increasing my strength and stamina. However, I am still many, many pounds heavier than I want to be and I just feel like it is not budging.
I have only lost 7 pounds in two months, and it is slowing down each week...
Just curious if anyone else has or is going through this and what your thoughts are.

The less you weigh the harder it is to lose those extra pounds.
For me, it really took an extra step- I had to seriously step up my workout routines. Training for a 10k really helped to lose extra weight. Also, drinking less alcohol was a big factor.

Re: Experience with "Vanity Pounds"?
My trainer told me about vanity pounds.
I am around 5'4-5'5 and currently 118. When i started working with her back in november, I was about 132. I was miserable. My goal was 120 but of course, i became obsessed and wanted to lose more.
It's extremely difficult to lose those last couple of pounds off of an already thin frame, but I find that tracking my calories and hard workouts helped get me from 120 to 118.

The last few pounds are the most difficult to lose. Try changing up your diet and exercise routine a bit.
