Re: Does anyone dislike the new ww plan?

I personally love it. I feel like it promotes much healthier eating habits than the old plan.

Why do you hate it?

I am not a fan either. No way you can have unlimited fruits and vegetables. Sorry but some fruit is very high in sugar - example how can a banana go from 2 pts to 0? I follow a bit of the old and the new plan. I am lifetime and they want me to eat 35 pts a week I did that and gained mine you I burn anywhere from 600-1100 calories 5x a week working out. Finally after 3 months I figured out I can only eat 29 pts and only have 3 servings of fruit per day. 2 women at ww already told me that the plan has not been mastered for lifetime members!

They don't say to have unlimited fruits and vegetables, they recommend to have 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day

Hmmm, this has me thinking. I am 4 wks. post baby and want to start WW on Monday. Wndering if I should stick with the old program (I have all the stuff at home) or if I should rejoin for the new plan. Any advice?

I understand that but say you have 3 servings of fruit that's still lots of sugar! I do what works for me!

I would rejoin for the new plan. There have been so many people that have been successful on it (myself included). Try it out for yourself and make your own decision! It's also easier to follow the new plan since you will have meetings, etools, and everything else is geared towards Points Plus (if you choose that option that would include etools and also if you did meetings).

i'll be honest- i don't like it. but that's probably b/c i did so well on the old plan last year and now i am so paranoid about how many points my "go-to" foods have gone up even though i know i get more pts. still doesn't make complete sense to me...
guess i need to get used to it!

Re: Does anyone dislike the new ww plan?

I don't like it. It is not working for me. I eat bananas. Like 2 per day and not counting those as points like I used to, I have started to gain weight back.

I want to go back to the older system.

Re: Does anyone dislike the new ww plan?

I agree with other posters that it is a little weird that the sugar in certain fruits is not taken into account with daily points.

Yes people will lose weight intially because they are eating less calories than they were before, but then that weight will stall at some point or slow down to almost nothing.

Not to say that this doesn't work for everyone, but WW really needs to get with the times and encourage more fiber and protien rather than just any old food that fits within a point range.

Did you ever look at the number of carbs for one of the smart ones meals? The one I had in my freezer and gave away recently had like 40 something. That is way too many for many people, especially peopel that are diabetic.

I did WW years ago and I did lose weight. I have since gained it back over the years, and chose low carb over WW again, because for me personally, I felt like I was always starving on WW and it was much more difficult to stick to. What happened to me and others I know is that you wind up eating not so great foods just bcause they are low in points, but the healthier foods like healthy olive oil and such you don't want to eat because such a small amount has such a high point value.
