how many weeks are people working to??
I am planning to work until my 38th week of pregnancy, leaving me with only 4 weeks left. However, I teach 8th grade and am constantly on my feet walking from here to there, or just around my classroom to check hw's or to write on the board etc. Are there any correlations between people working too hard towards the end of their birth and delivering early? J

I will probably have to work until I literally give birth  not because I want too but because I probably have too. No, Im kidding, sorta...I would like to work to as far as I can but only time will tell I guess.

I plan on working until I just can't work anymore... I'm a nurse and work 12.5 hr shifts on my feet. We'll see...

im working either til the end or til 38 weeks if my doctor will sign me out by then so i can collect disability at 60% for 2 weeks before my due date. but if he wont sign me out ill work as long as i can still commute to the city.

Yesterday was my last day, at 36w 4d. 
My boss decided to "shut me down" because he is super-sympathetic and hates that I commute to the city daily.

With my last pregnancy, I worked up until the day I went into labor (I'm a music therapist in a preschool). I will definitely do the same this time around. I can take up to 12 weeks leave, and I didn't want to use any of it up just sitting around waiting! I wanted to use it spending time with my baby! Also, the more active you remain during your pregnancy, the easier labor will be. I literally didn't change anything about my day-to-day life from the moment I got my BFP until I delivered!

I told HR that i will work up until May 27th which I will be 39 weeks but I am thinking of changing that until 38 weeks if I make it that long.

I assumed I would work until my water breaks but now at 36+ weeks I am questioning that idea. It's getting hard and even though I can sit while I teach at this point, just dealing with the kids and walking around the building is tough. Don't know my plan now as I have to administer state tests the next two weeks in a row.

With DS I worked until 38 weeks...I stopped working mainly b/c I commuted to Riverhead from E. Meadow and my DH was freaking out that I would go into labor driving home LOL.
With this pregnancy I work about 15 minutes from home and intend to work until I go into labor, as long as the Dr. gives me the ok!

my OB signed me out at 36.5 weeks last time due to high bp. I ended up having DS a week later.
this time I am due right before school starts, so I'll be 31 weeks when I stop Even though I'll be hot in the summer, at least i won't be working.

With DS I worked up until I delivered, but he also came 5 weeks early!
This time, my last day was yesterday at 36 weeks 3 days. Doctor put me out cause there is a good chance I will deliver soon!. Plus I just can't do it no more!

yesterday was my last day and I am 38w today...I wanted to have a smooth transition in training my replacement while I am out so it was easier to just pick a day to be my last day vs. trying to work longer but leave people unprepared if i went into labor early. I am really happy I did it this way because commuting into the city this last week was rough and i am so happy I dont have to do it on Monday.

I hope to work till the end, so I don't waste my maternity leave. I'm a teacher, but my leave replacement is starting next year with me, so I can go when necessary.

I was 39 weeks last time and was on call the night before until 11pm I was supposed to be induced. I didn't end up getting induced until 39 1/2 weeks because there were too many women in labor. 
This time, my job ends 4 days before my due date. I have extra vacation time I haven't used so my last day working is 10 days prior to my due date. I have a feeling I won't make it until the end this time so I don't want to take sick time...
If my job wasn't ending, I'd work until the day I deliver. I like the distraction. When I was home for DS all I could do was think about every little thing and if I was going into labor

I am due Oct 3rd, as a guidance counselor I will be off all summer I plan to go back in Sept and work until the baby comes / I am so uncomfortable I can't.

My plan is to go to 39 weeks. That would make my last day a Wed. If I'm still feeling good I might finish out that work week and save myself 2 vacation days, but I'm taking it one day at a time right now.

I'll be 35 weeks, I teach dance and that's when the last recital is so classes are over after then so it's not by choice but probably a good thing!

Today was my last day of work. My due date is tomorrow. I work as an autism consultant and early intervention provider - so I was constantly chasing kids around - it was not easy, but I am glad to say that I can rest until the baby comes now.
