DH is making me return the bedding...(EDITED W/QUESTION-i might be able to keep it...NEED OPINIONS)
I put it on the crib tonight and all proud of myself i showed him and he started in about how crib bumpers are banned and if not they should be and that we should not have then in the crib with the baby even though we used them for 6 months with DD....so looks like im returning my beloved bedding and getting breatheable bumpers (which is probably better anyway) hopefully i can find a nice boy style blanket so at least i can piece together a bedding set. Bummin'....

UPDATE:
So after a little research and approval from the hubs, we could keep the bedding and switch the fluffy bumper for a breathable one which is safer, with the bedding that i have which color bumper....brown or sage?? The curtains are a sage green so i don't want to overdue the green but the crib is espresso so im wondering if the brown will be too much....what do you think?

don't return it! use everything else except the bumper...maybe you can even use non toxic markers to stencil a matching theme onto a solid breathable bumper??
I love that bedding! you shouldn't settle just bc of the bumper...

why not just keep the set and use a matching breathable bumper?
they are like 15 to 25 dollars.
I registered for a set and I hope i get it... I plan on using the set with everything BUT the bumper for the first few months. I'm just going to use a sheer pink bumper and then eventually if and when I feel more comfortable swap it out.
You could also make something out of the bumper... a pillow? vallance? quilt piece? etc.

I would go with brown because it looks like the variations in the greens are too different where as the brown seems to match the brown in the bedding more.
Its very cute.

I registered for the same bumpers. I ordered sage green for my bedding, but I think brown would look great with your bedding. It's hard to match the green's perfectly.

They make cream colored breathable bumpers too, that's what I would go with.

i say the brown, unless the sage matches the bedding perfectly i think the brown would look better.

DS wasn't in his crib until he was 4 months, so I had the regular bumper on there and then put the breathable on when he went in it, and we still have the breathable on now (he's 19 months).
I would go for the sage. That's what i have. I have green curtains and a green wall as well. I'm going to find the post with my bedroom and add it here.

yeah i was gonna say i think ive seen cream...only because if the sage doesn't match you don't want to have too many different shades of same color

I have the brown breathable. TBH I think it's a bit ugly, lol, but I'm too cheap to switch it since ds is pretty done with bumpers all together.
