Updated info on Dr. B
I had an appt with Dr. B today and got some info that I thought would be helpful for all his followers! 
I waited an hour and a half to see him (10:30 appt, saw him at 12).
Dr. B is very aware of his "waiting room problem" and has very recently hired a new office manager who's first priority is to get his schedule on track. He is very well aware that a successful practice needs to be better run than his currently is, and that is why he just hired this new person. He believes things should be smoothed out within a couple of weeks. Wouldn't that be great?! 
Also, as for the insurance issue, if you are already under his care, he will accept your out-of-network benefits without making you pay the co-insurance. You're basically "grandfathered" in. Of course, new patients are not extended this courtesy. He seems to truly care about doing what is best for his patients.
He did also mention that he's considering leaving the Manhattan office and just being full time at Woodbury, but he's not sure about that just yet.

Hope you don't mind me barging in, but I have an appointment coming up with Dr B in about two weeks. I was wondering if anyone could tell me a rough cost for the first consult appointment? FWIW, the receptionist said she'd look into out-of-network benefits for me (Empire Plan BC/BS). Thanks!

First consult is $650 if paying out of pocket. From what I understand he is disenrolling from insurance companies as of June 28th. If your appt is before that you may just have a copay.

I met her too and agree, so sweet!
Also she told me she completely understands what we are all going through because she had fertility issues as well. She actually said "i was lucky because I got twins, so I only had to do it for one pregnancy". I like that she can relate first hand.

well it's a good thing he's aware of the waiting room issue.
that was insane.. when i was seeing him the wait was never less than an hour... and I've even waited over 2 hours on some days... that's with an appointment!! drove me nuts. But because he was so good I sucked it up. but i hated the wait.
